About me and my practice
I am an accredited Pluralistic Counsellor and as such, I put the client at the centre of the counselling process. I use a mixture of the psychodynamic approach, Person-Centred and CBT to support my clients. I work online, meaning my clients can have the safety and comfort of their homes when they engage in their therapeutic work. At the beginning of our work together we will set therapeutic goals that you want to achieve and assess those goals as we work through the issues. I work with adults
Experience
My background is in education, I have around 30 years of experience in the education sector. I started to retrain during lockdown and completed my qualification in Hypnotherapy and Counselling in the years after. I have volunteered for a local charity as a counsellor and I am currently self-employed as a counsellor, I work for a counselling platform and have a private practice. I focus on several areas such as stress, anxiety, low mood, low confidence and self-esteem, workplace and other bullying, mental health issues, loss, grief and depression all of which may have roots in the past.
When possible, I like to see how I can integrate hypnotherapy and counselling together.
